Bono's Project Red [Do the red thing !] is a fucking waste of time. I am not surprised Apple are giving just ten quid or whatever, I guess you could say it's something right ? Yes. But think of how high sales would be once people see the word "charity" attached to it. They're making more money out of the Red campaign than the Red campaign could ever hope to make out of them, so hell YES they should give more.
Now take a look at what American express is giving to the Red campaign in Africa for taking out their Red Visa - 1% of your total spend. ONE PER CENT. Who the fuck is ONE PERCENT going to save ?
That's not all ! If you spend more than £5,000, they increase this to - 1.25% !!! Greedy pigs.
At least Gap are giving half the price of all their Project Red t-shirts to the AIDS foundation.
By the way, yes this is more than average Joe is doing for the Red campaign, but then again average Joe isn't a multi-billion pound industry to whom $10 is fucking nothing per equipment.
