are you kidding me?  that was a great interview!  it was hilarious how he started to say that axl hadn't done anything.  he cut himself off as soon as he started saying it because he knew he'd get shit if he did.

Yeah cafcnickdugay, you're right. In one of the recent Talking Metal podcasts they had an interview with Matt where he said he had a "nice talk" with Axl. The clip was posted at the start of May 2006.

I like Matt anyway, seems to be a cool dude.

So Matt came off really cool in "MAKING F-ING VIDEOS", especially the November Rain video.  

Seemed like he was excited about trying new things like the "Elton John" stuff.  The "next album is going to be the shit" is something he said during the November Rain shoot.

BUT THEN you fastforward to say, Behind The Music, or whatever interview soundbites things turned into "PIANO?  I THOUGHT I WAS JOINING A ROCK AND ROLL BAND."

So "meh" about Matt...
