Theme and theory behind setlist regarding Illusion songs

after the concert  of 3rd nov.,  i think the setlist finally gets a bit more exciting.......the cd gets closer each day and i cant wait to have NICE BOYS played........i think they should cut down on the solos, but with 3 guitarists each must have one i guess, but it really slows down the pace. Which might be needed to do on some point, but i think its only one more excuse for Axl to go backstage.

well on the topic, i'll post my theroy.

The reason their's not much UYI songs is... because their not touring that album. Usualy 5 Chinese Democacy songs are played (Blues, Better, IRS, CD, and Maddy). So in reality their setlist does consist of the more *popular* UYI songs (NR, YCBM, LALD, KOHD, Dont Cry(solo)). Plus the added keyboard and guitar solo and the CD songs mentioned. That's 7 UYI song's that would be played if they were touring that album. Also with *option* songs like UTLH, Rocket Queen, DOWN ON THE FUCKING FARM... you know song's that are usualy on the setlist like once a week. So if they had UYI Options like they do (perfect crime) we come up with around a possibility of having about 10 UYI songs added. Because though, their no longer touring UYI their not going to play it's depth and make room for CD tracks.

If I remember correctly, Axl has ownership of all works by GNR. Therefore he has a right to play any song he wants to. And as someone else said, pretty much all of the AFD songs were co-written by the old band.

For Estranged Slash was not given writer credit that I could find however even if you remove estranged.  Of the UYI songs the new GnR has not played any songs that have Slash having credit for those songs I posted.

2nd I was not aware AFD was part of the UYI series

Down on the fucking farm was not written by GnR for fucks sakes so why even bring that up.

As I stated I do not have the UYI2 CD cover so the information I got about writer credit for estranged came from the net so may not be correct.

This would have nothing to do with what Axl has the rights to it has to do with what he is willing to play.  So far he has not played any UYI songs that have Slash as co-writer.  

Don't Cry slash didn't fucking write so not sure why that was mentioned.

As I stated in the begining this is a theory based on what GnR has played.

he doesnt need ownership to play those songs,  what drug are you on......but he has all the rights, thats true.........if youd need ownership to play a song live, haha, no cover versions would be played , ever........

has axl sang Dont Cry at all since shannon hoon died? I saw GnR at donnington n at sheffield n was bummed not to hear it, its easily one of their best songs. Did they play it during the 2001/2002 tour?
