lyrically speaking, not musically, I would say Sweet child o mine is very good . im not a big shakespeare fan but this song virtually rips off shakespeares sonnets. Axl must be a shakespeare fan. He is a romeo rocker for sure.

What makes this song so powerful is what makes Axl so amazing. He brings to the table his pure masculinity so short insupply today.
What this song does is what every poem, mode of ediquette and romantic gesture have always done in medieval times. The powerful, rich, handsome, strong, alphamale sinks to his knee to offer a rose to the lady of his heart. Well. That gesture is an ancint one, that says, I hand over my power, ability to wield this sword, courage to smash my enemies at your service m lady. What does the "child" give? She gives him the peace that he cant find int he jungles hes born to. Shes removed and offers a sanctuary. Wow.

What so many people get angry bout i dont understand. Axl has said over and ovr that they are not a band that you can categorize they dont want to be stuck in some mold and repeat this "genre" over and over, each album changes bc they are musicians int he high sense, exploring music and creating something their own each time going beyon. Illusions is a lot liek Demc.  in this sense.it's pissing off a lot of people that just shows how fixated we are and why we need cretive people to break out of the molds we pour over everything . Nbdy gets it. Maybe some. All i hear are comparisons Slash and Finck , Finck and Slash, Axl at 20 at 40 etc. They miss the boat, their band is alive an well bc its still breaking the mold.

Im not a fan of the Blck album, never said i ws, never bought that one i t was a groundbreaker is my point, prior to one and black album metal was an underground thing. thats all, back when i ws your age.

Come on ppl- Nov. Rain is the most romantic song evr made. Its your classic Elvis love song. If Elvis were alive he woulda done Nov. Rn in LV.
This song is loved by men (maybe more than women) with the overpassionate fervor. This scene ceases to shock me, watching clips of Nov Rn 06 all over the world the crowd (mostly male voices) singing this song in the thousands till you cant hear AR. Nobody sees this? What can inspire such a response, only Elvis , and apparantly
AxR.

In a world of male-bashing, gender-equity insanity, this love song speaks to men more than before. It only shows how destroyed men feel today by the women that they struggle to understand and connect to. So much fracking pain and sadness. Thsi song is relavant. This song may be the greatest of the 3 bc it is yet another song that breaks the social mold, expectations(men singing love songs together??)- expressing the emotional vaccuum that they inhabit in what is becoming the norm (destruction of commitment) because women today are intolerable. Fangs and claws.

I wanna hear from men- what do you think?
