Spotted this on HTGTH.  Apparently it's from The Toronto Sun:

There's good news and bad news about the arrival of Guns N' Roses at the Air Canada Centre tonight.

First of all, there has been increased anticipation about this Gunners road trip, because their years-delayed new album, Chinese Democracy, was supposed to finally hit stores next Tuesday.

That's where the bad news comes in.

Universal Music Canada said this week: "We have no indication that a Guns N' Roses record will be released this year."

So does "record" mean no single or album?:question:

Mind you "no indication" could go well with the "surprise" release if you think about it.

it is more likely it won't be out this year, but then again u never know.
this might just be to surprise people and it does come out soon.

if it doesn't get released this year then we'll know just how much Axl's word means these days...

anyway, I decided that Im gonna try and stay as postive about this entire thing as possible, and that through some miracle we will see an album this year  :paranoid:

This album is going to follow every other procedure when it comes to release ie: promotion, interviews etc.

Why do we assume that just because its gnr that it's going to be any different. Kinda says more about us than it does about anything else.

So no promotion or interviews = no album any time soon.

actually no

universal canada is a smaller division of universal as a whole they handle canadian artists signed to universal and distribute the big stuff in canada they dont have the say that universal /interscope/ geffen does
