Let's take a look at the set list to compair how much is really from AFD.  This is from the setlist last night and only 7 of the songs are from AFD.  So this whole bitching about them just playing AFD songs is not only utter bullshit it is false.

apparently knocking on heavens door wasnt played, 7/12 AFD is still a high majority compared to the ratio with the illusions. but AFD rocks so i have no probs with setlist

I think you are so wrong.

8 tracks from an 12 song album is much. And when i counted the songs from your list there are 16 songs (exept for the jams) and 8/16 are AFD. So that makes AFD to 50% of the setlist, the other half is a mixture between UYI, Lies and unreleased tracks. So I think you should think twice about this.

And just for the record, they've played rocket queen and think about you several times this year. And You're crazy has been performed to the honor of tommy hilfiger.. So that's 11 songs, so the only song that haven't been performed this year is Anything Goes (as far as i know) so now when you got the facts, we all can return to the whineing about Civil War and other songs that the band refuses to play  :nod:

sorry, i don't mean to nitpick, but its a matter of national pride.  its not an MTV show, its a canadian show that is produced and airs on showcase.

I still cant figure out why they cant play "anything goes," its a very catchy tune...

They play mostly AFD to make sure the crowd is just energized the entire time. I mean, without looking at the actual quality of the songs, the AFD stuff is much more fast-paced than illusions.

it wouldn't make sense for them to come back after years and years of no tour (2001 tour excluded) and play the less well known songs.

Well that's not true, they played a very succesful UYI tour.. so I don't see why they only play AFD to keep the crowd energized
