If I were you, I woudln't bother to watch GN'R live. I couldn't help myself from bein' pissed off watchin' something I don't believe in or don't agree with.

I go to see them not because of the band, only because of the songs, if we could choose of course there will be Duff,Izzy and Slash on the stage. if we can't have them because of the self home fucked up egos,we prefered hot blonded bitches who could play the songs. would you still call it Guns N'roses,  at least they played the songs and could even be great friends. I think I made my point!!!!

No you didn't make any point, not to me.

If it's not GN'R for ya, it's like watchin' a damn cover band. So go watch a GN'R cover band, will be cheapier to your pockets n' they don't need ya.

The only point you made is that you really need to be locked in Arkan Asylum!!!!!

This is amusing.  Like if GNR stayed together they would own?  Come on, by the time TSI came out no one cared, which is part of the reason why Axl knew he had to go back to the roots of GNR philosophy, meaning he had to make something original, cutting-edge and ahead of it's time like AFD was.  But if he made an album like AFD or UYI now it wouldn't cut it, it needed to be different like AFD was when it first came out.

Repeating the past with hopes of reliving the experience is not a solution, so for those of you with pipe dreams of the UYI line-up, keep livin' them because reality is about to slap us in the face when CD hits the shelves (god-willing soon).  Most of you raving about UYI lineup probably never saw them live.  I've seen them more times than you've had sex probably (except for the virgins on the board) and I can tell you first hand that this new line-up blows away any previous incarnation.

Interesting convo though

Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism -- how passionately I hate them!

The old lineup was great...but what built and destructed this band at the same time was a war of egos or just the egos of them all (izzy, axl, slash, duff and etc). We can't point a finger to a responsible, but we (fans) can tell for sure who owns the greater ego...can't we?
I'll be waiting here, alone, while you do what you wanna do
I can't deny how much I miss you and how great it'd be to be with you again

I know I do. The lineup from the use your illusions was perfect. it's not that I don't like the new band, but think about all the years of great music that was never made by guns n roses. we could have have 5 or 6 more albums to listen to.. :crybaby:

I agree with this totally with your first paragraph. Yeah it would be great IF GNR was still together. It would be great IF Cliff Burton was still alive. My life would be more enjoyable IF I was still dating that girl that would give me an hour long "treat" while I just sat there. Lots of my fellow Megadeth fans talk about MD being great IF Marty Friedman stayed in the band...yeah right. Look at that guy now. People change and grow. Dave Mustaine IS Megadeth and although I can't say that about Axl in the same way. He is the voice of GNR so for all the crying about Slash and Izzy get over it. Here's my IF or MIGHT BE= It is possible Axl took this long to recreate a band with CHEMISTRY. It is possible that NOW is the best time for a GNR album. The music industry goes in cycles and Hip Hop is played out. Just maybe this NEW GNR will wave the flag of Rock n Roll back to popularity. Metallica failed with St Anger. I remember an article about metal and hard rock sales up 300% around the time of St Anger. Lots of people were thinking rock was back, but no hip hop has still lead the way. I'm as tired as the rest of you waiting for a new GNR album. If songs like Better, Madagascar, the Blues, CITR, and IRS are any indication then this album and Band will do what St Anger failed to do.

The NEW GNR play mostly songs that the old GNR created!!!  They are covering the old band!!!  To say the new GNR blows them away is insane.  There is no way any of the new guys could create music like that.  If they did, mabey the new GNR would actually release an album!!!   :unibrow:
Never lose hope: BRING BACK SLASH.
