Obviously opinions don't prove anything. You back your opinion up with reasoning in order to change other people's opinions. It's called a debate.

In my humble opinion Finck is a better artist with more heart than Eddie.

This is not about any particular characteristic, this isn't about "apples and oranges" as you put it. It doesn't matter that Finck has more "heart" than Eddie (he doesn't anyway but lets run with that) or Eddie is faster.

 I'm trying to make the distinction between a good guitarist and a great guitarist explicitly clear. Finck is the former (in my opinion). Here comes the reasoning...

It doesn't matter that he can't shred or has feeling. Like I said, I could have posted somebody like BB King or SRV. What matters is these guys are universally recognised as the benchmark of a GREAT guitarist. Finck has not achieved a minuscule morsel commercially nor artistically that can hold a candle to somebody like EVH or BB King.  

You don't have to like say EVH more than Finck but an intelligent man would respect his achievements above Fincks.

If you still think Robin Finck is on the same level as the greats like Eddie Van Halen, BB King, SRV, Satriani, Hendrix, Clapton etc etc Then that's EXACTLY that type of retarded, blind fanboyism I'm talking about.

Funny thing is when people like music as an art form they generally like it because it sounds good to their ears not because it sounds good to other people's ears.  Finck sounds good to me.  If you want to twist that into blind fanboy ignorance just because you can't understand liking someone without notoriety then continue to do so like the ignorant little boy you are.
