fair enough. its all down to views and opinions. i can't wait to see Saddam killed and i bet the families of all those killed by him can't either. the one difference being that Saddam Hussein didn't send an army into another country to be killed, he killed innocent civilians who didn't stand a chance against his brutality. Bush sent in an army who is trained to kill, people who at least stood some fighting chance.i have no problem with people bashing bush, but i hope people won't start bashing the troops for the same reasons. cos due to popular belief they ain't all jackasses who imprison civilians and torture and embarrass them...
See nemo's post... great precision in expression I thought
Saddam deserves to live because the death penalty is never a justifiable punishment, at the end of the day he's only being killed because Georgie boy wants him gone. Bush is putting his own ego ahead of justice and common senseAnd yes, look at what's happened, to get to a point where he can execute saddam for killing his own people (funny how no-one wants bush killed for allowing the death penalty in America though) he has started an illegal war, killing hundreds of thousands of those same Iraqi's, turning their country into a lawless warzone (at least when saddam was in charge you knew what you had to do to get killed, now people can't even leave their own house incase they get blown up) and also killed over 1,000 of his own countrymen and another hundred and something british soldiers.I'm not going to try and say Saddam is innocent, or that he wasn't a murdering tyrant, but at the end of the day he's not the only one out there and his country is in a far, far worse state now than it was before we overthrew him
this invasion of Iraq was completely illegal and therefore is at least equal to the crimes of Saddam's.
