They can pull it off half decently at times but it's never anything like the record, which is kinda what annoys me. That video makes them look like all conquering mega shredders and well, they're pretty poor when compared to the real masters. There's sort of a level of deceit in it that I don't like.
The end result is a load of annoying n00bs prancing about thinking the fastest guitar player in the world is Herman Li and banging on about how Dragonforce pwn the universe. Most of them don't even know who Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen are, let alone Shawn Lane and Rusty Cooley.
That said, there's no denying how awesome some of their studio stuff is.
Oh btw just a heads up, Herman Li posts on Jemsite as "SHREDlamode" every now and then if you didn't already know.
