Slash, Ronnie James Dio and Terry Bozzio will be inducted into Hollywood’s RockWalk the only sidewalk gallery dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and R&B. Their handprints and signatures will reside alongside other equally accomplished musicians and innovators such asEric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins,Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder,John Lee Hooker and Earth Wind & Fire among numerous others.
The induction will take place Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 7 p.m. at 7425 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. The event is free and open to the public.

Slash
With his trademark Les Paul, top hat and omnipresent cigarette Slash is a guitar icon of a generation.  After picking up a guitar for the first time at 15, Slash challenged and destroyed the stagnant musical scene in 1986 when he helped to found one of the biggest bands rock n’ roll has ever known, Guns N’ Roses. After leaving G’n R’ Slash recorded and toured with his band Slash’s Snakepit as well as recorded and performed with a multitude of artists including Michael Jackson, Iggy Pop, Eric Clapton, Carole King, and Diddy to name a few.  In 2004 along with former G’n R member Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, guitarist Dave Kushner (Wasted Youth) and lead singer Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) Slash formed his current band Velvet Revolver who’s debut album Contraband garnered raved reviews and received a GRAMMY in 2004 for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song “Slither”.

Ronnie James Dio first achieved recognition when his band Elf supported the British band Deep Purple on several US tours. He later went on to sing on Roger’s famed solo project The Butterfly Ball and fronted such groups as Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and Black Sabbath. After leaving Black Sabbath’ Ronnie went on to record many solo albums including Holy Driver, Last in Line, Angry Machines, and Magica. Ronnie will once again be hitting the road with former band mates Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler with their new group Heaven and Hell.

Terry Bozzio
After watching The Beatles premier performance on The Ed Sullivan Show, at the age of 13, Terry Bozzio begged his father for drum lessons.  After majoring in music at Sir Francis Drake High School and College of Marin Terry went on to play in rock musicals and local jazz groups. In 1975 Terry auditioned for and joined Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.  During his three years with Zappa Terry recorded over 10 albums, including the premier of the infamous Black Page which Zappa wrote for Terry.  Terry then went on to perform with many bands including Missing Persons which he formed with ex-Zappa guitarist Warren Cuccurullo in 1979.

What's your problem? Just because he left GN'R it doesn't mean that he sucks.. I kinda like what I've heard from their upcomming album..

Slash is a legend, people will remember him, he smells cool all the way.

He did some great riffs on Appetite, and on the Illusions..

I love Axl, but man, Slash deserves it as much as him. (At least almost)

I wouldnt go so far as to call him a lowsy musician since he left.  He has done some half decent shit, at least its better than the norm now-a-days!  But he has definitely gone downhill because pretty much everyone is a yes man. u know? theyre all like "OMFGZ slash! everything he touches is gold!" truth is, izzy helped slash A LOT with writing the stuff he did in GNR too.  So slash cant take credit for all of that. And Im not saying izzy wrote his own shit, he wrote slashs shit too a lot of the time.  I love slash, and he has influenced my guitar playing more than any other guitarist, but still! without axl and izzy's help he's kinda gone downhill
