You're wrong. Axl still has his vision, he's still a fuckin' genius regardin' his music n' GN'R's new songs still have value as new good shit to inspire n' change both rock culture n' rock history n' the last thing we can think of watchin' GN'R is a fuckin' dinossaur. This is what I think of when I see Slash. But not a T-Rex. Just a fuckin' old dinossaur who doesn't eat meat n' will be fuckin' destroyed by a huge T Rex called GUNS N'ROSES!

haha    hilarious.

but sorry dude, as much as we love axl and the new songs its not going to change rock n roll, it'll just be a great rock record.  axl is no musical genius, he's just a rock star, thats all.

Oh... well, we're talkin' about a person who was compared to Freddie Mercury (Brian May said that about Axl in the studio). If you don't see a genious mind behind such incredible pieces like Estranged, November Rain, TWAT, CITR, Breakdown, Jungle among others... I gotta ask ya: WHAT THE FUCK ARE YA DOIN HERE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's goin' to change the same way Appetite changed. Music is kinda shitty like in the 80's n' music industry needs something powerfull, really good n' talented to shake the foundations of rn'r n' I think Chinese Democracy n' the tour will put things in the right place.

sorry dude, i don't agree with you at all.  its not going to change a thing.  a bunch of overblow ballads will not captivate the music scene (i will love it though)

and stop asking me what the fuck i'm doing here :finger:

I ask you why the fuck are you here because you seem to love Slash SO MUCH n' you seem to not enjoy masterpieces like Estranged, November Rain, TWAT n' the rest so... it gets me confused!
Well, I thought it was made only for die-hard fans, but maybe you're just a regular fan. Just like me about...let me see... Ozzy. I really like Ozzy but there are some stuff I don't like, some records I hate n' there's some stuff which is very fuckin' good.
I just thought you were other kind of person, I'm sorry!
You know...people who don't enjoy the ballads n' the epics, this other sides GN'R have..I don't know. They should stuck with Appetite n' go on with their lives because GN'R is pretty much like Queen, when you get a record you get lots of different sounds n' styles. It happens to Appetite too, but not in terms of ballads. I wish they made it with Don't Cry or even November Rain on Appetite, that would be much better for the band ya know? Coz when Illusions got released there were a bunch of suckers sayin "oh shit, they sold themselves, look at this ballads". Fuck 'em.
Well, that's it, I don't think I'll write any other shit at this topic, it's got way too big n' I'm tired n' none of us will change the way we think.

I just hope Chinese Democracy bring some light to y'll.

haha bastard :D

good call, lets end this, we each have our opinions.

for the record though i love all the ballads, but if i had a choice between the rockers and the ballads i would choose the rockers, thats all.  I also love most of the new stuff, i'm just saying that the rest of the world might not be as into in as we are.  there is only one gnr song i don't like, and that is my world.

anyways...  truce

At the end of the day, Axl hasn't really got a blemish on his career yet.. Slash has.. well, everything since GN'R has been fucking pathetic

 That has to be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on these forums. Not a blemish? What about breaking up the original band, attacking fans, cancelling concerts, working on an album for ten years, missing release dates and biting security guards?

But Slash? Oh yes, he's left GNR, he must be a waster. He's only got one of the most recognisable styles in rock music, is releasing best-selling records, has his name on the Hollywood Music Walk Of Fame and has a bigger fanbase than Axl. What a joke that Slash is!

The only thing I have to say is: the day Slash, alone or in ANY other band brings more fans to a concert or sells more record than Axl (with or without GN'R) I'll SLASH MY WRISTS!!!!!!!!!!

I promisse!!!!!!! I swear!

ps: because I know it won't happen! Maybe in another life... when we're both cats!!! :D

I showed the new songs for a lot of people who don't surf on the internet or that just aren't huge fans n' don't go after those things. For all the songs, it was like almost 50% 50% for the ones who loved it n' the ones who hated (something that happens when you have a large variety of songs, like at the Illusions - most people tends to like some songs but not the entire record), but BETTER..this song was a big surprise. There ain't a soul till this day that didn't like it or haven't got amazed by it. And I'm talkin' about people that goes from huge fans to people that don't like the old songs n' don't like GN'R!!!
I like My World - it sounds mean n' evil, it's very dark n' ironic. I just think it could be a bigger song, not only 1 minute.
Well, our war of words has ended finally!! And I'm about to listen to a record I haven't heard in 1 thousand years: FIGHT's "War of Words"!!
