Hard to say, its the best debut I've ever heard.

The best major label debut Ive heard is Nevermind.

But AFD is the best overall.

There have been a few really good debut albums, but being a GNR fan i think that AFD is the best by far.

Yeah Can't think of any other album that even comes close for a debut? Can anyone else think of an album that was as huge as AFD?

But they finally somthing posative and im glad, even in kerrangs charts...

FROM START TO FINISH ITS FLAWLESS.

Pity no other bands have been able to match it, they set the bar with Appetite.

There's plenty of flaws.

Far, far away from being perfect.

The "Nightrain" solo comes to mind, it would have been so much better if it wasn't shortened.

Plus songs like "Anything Goes", "My Michelle" and "Think About You"...

people like you fail at music. Also, to say AFD is the best debut musically, like skill wise and actually innovation, is pretty much incorrect.

The only other debut album that comes to mind is Aerosmiths. They had Mamakin and Dream On. But i still don't think it matches AFD. From WTTJ to Rocket Queen, theres only three songs that are worth skipping (My M, Anything Goes, and Think about you.)

my favorite debut, and record ever, uyi2 is a close second.

But lets not forget about bostons debut album.  The only one that topped afd in sales, and it too is quite brilliant, it has:
More than a Feeling
Peace of Mind
Foreplay/Longtime
Hitch a Ride
 ahh, shit, like 3 more awesome ones , cant think of the names right now, but tim suprised that it wasnt mentioned yet.

Metallicas Kill Em All is quite solid, maybe not the success as those 2 but easily a top 5 debut. 



Those are my top 3, and quite strong, btw whoever said Nevermind,bleh.
