What do you think The Garden is about?

It is without a doubt a metaphoric song about a terrible LSD trip and one losing thier mind while trying to find oneself. Basically about someone on a permanent trip and lost in life now. BYE BYE! Does everyone agree?

That song is overlooked but it is great and ''GENIUS'' Anyone who understands those lyrics throw your fist in the air because you are a true fan!

I have never done LSD nor tripped, but I can agree with you that this song could be about an LSD trip!!

And I do like this song...a lot...Alice Cooper does well in it.

So do the words "only poor boys take a chance"...mean that LSD is a poor boy drug?
Or is there another kind of drug this could be about trippin' on? (Crack, Crank, Meth, etc..)

I'm not a drug expert by any means.

I don't mess with drugs either, maybe 5 years ago but I'm actually into the Lord. But I do understand how life is. Yes only poor boys take a chance seems to refer to the poor mans drug which is considered LSD and theres alot of other statements I believe confirming this awsome song. It's no big deal I was just seeing if people had opinions about this jam.

I never liked the video, the song has always beenn kick ass though,

I just with Alice Cooper was in the vid , that would of made it awesome

I have the video ''WELCME TO THE VIDEOS'' and look at Slash on the bed looking up at the mirror and the liquid style moving on the screen. It's about LSD. In my book ''The band that time forgot'' it even says it is about a drug experience and Axl's mental state at the time. It has nothing to with Manson. Wandering round for ''DAZE''

I could imagine someone losing there mind and just sitting in a corner with that song on repeat over and over and over. It definatly seems about drugs, it has a fucked up vibe to it but i love it coz of it.

The shifting images in the video always got me, and the black & white/color transition kicks ass. I guess it shows what the world looks like from the POV of someone on drugs. The lyrics always meant some form of an addiction for me, be it to sex or drugs or whatever, and how hard it is to escape it since everyone else seems to be partaking in it as well.
