False: Album handed into Universal

"Universal Music sources" inform BW&BK that GUNS N' ROSES "fictional album" Chinese Democracy is done and has been handed in. All Universal BIG wigs were flown to Los Angeles a couple of weeks back to listen to it. The delay is blamed on frontman Axl Rose "not having the proper team in place" since he fired his manager, Merck Mercuriadis. As soon as he gets his "new team" in place the album will be released. September seems like the most likely scenario. Don't hold your breath.

It takes approximately eight weeks for an album to hit the shelves once it has been turned in to the record company.

so basically, we're at the last tuesday in March...so then April and May, so i'm gonna guess late June/early July, give 'em some slack.

If the record company have it, its up to them what they do with the album. Maybe they see september as a good month?

good point, I would just assume they want to get it out asap to prevent further leaks. With all that could be out their, I think they would be taking their chances holding onto it for any longer than they have to.

please not september, im just glad its in the hands of he label, maybe we will actually be able to buy it. I dont see why Axl needs to have a manager before they release it, if they did really get the album then they "could" release it in May if they wanted, i think June is likely. Fingers crossed.

exactly.  some rapper (Eminem?) rush released one of his albums because it leaked.  and we already have a buttload of leaks and high quality bootlegs (The Blues from Boston '02, KROQ, Rock AM Ring, etc.) so it'd be wise from them to get that sonovabitch out ASAP.

i thought they deleted true things that the band hasn't publicized or that could make the band seem bad.
