Axl 'interview' from Versace show.

Quote
That's funny, because Axl told HRS that [Bucket] will be on the record.

He also said that Buckethead's solo on Silkworms - which is, by the way, Axl's girlfriend's favorite song on the album - will "blow people away."

Paul Tobias is still on the album, too.

So don't make assumptions based on opinion.

I think it was meant to be kept a secret for a while, but I saw someone else post it on another forum so I guess it doesn't matter if I tell the story now.

When it first happened I couldn't believe it because Silkworms is considered by most people to be the worst GN'R song (or at least on par with My World). I guess Axl really changed it around.
---
You're right - my mistake: Axl said this new version of Silkworms will be on the sequel, not Chinese Democracy itself.

Still, something to look forward to.

eh... Silkworms.... if that song is really on the album, it must have been really reworked. or maybe it will be some kind of joke, like My World

The guy said it WONT be on CD, that it'll be on the sequel.  We could have already heard (or partially heard) most of this album's demos.  I can think of 6 songs that I would be confident will for sure be on CD.  Which is not counting CITR

If this is true, I really have huge respect for Axl. Keeping Bucket's work on the material because of the sheer quality of it would be the noble thing to do. Not erasing it all for the sake of egos.

Seems like him and Axl are on good terms with Axl trying to get him back and all, Bucket just didn't wanna be part of the whole huge GnR thing in the end it looks like.

Buckethead's solo work, I feel, is incredible.  I'm just as excited to hear his work on the album (if it's true that Axl kept it on there), as I am to hear Axl's "new" sound.

Yeah, this is true; Axl talked to HRS for fifteen minutes. This is just a recap of some of the things he told him - there was a lot more. We were supposed to keep this all a secret, but someone with access to the admin section on EMS posted it on another forum a little while ago so the cat's outta the bag. Silkworms is going to be on the Chinese Democracy sequel (and Axl actually said it's a sequel) and his girlfriend said it's her favorite new song. The title of it is no longer "Silkworms," but he didn't say what it's called now.

He also said he wrote the main chorus for the song. He said Pitman and Dizzy were fooling around with the structure for the song and he started writing lyrics to it.
