If I remember correctly, GNR were asked to perform on Mtv Unplugged for one of the season finalies, but it never happened.

Oddly, the whole idea for the Mtv Unplugged show came from Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Sambora performing a short impromptu acoustic set together.

New and old Gn'r have both done Acoustic, "Unplugged" shows if ya like in the past. Old Gn'R did CBGB's acoustically and New Gn'R held the small acoustic gig after one of the shows in the UK.

The 2006 ones weren't really true unplugged though, were they? I mean, Robin's waving a semi-acoustic around (which, in my mind, doesn't count). I've always wondered why Robin never seems to go near an acoustic; even on Patience he's playing a LP...
