No wonder it's taking so long to get this out "Hey play me some shit!" and we just hold up the phone to the speakers...
wrong about ron reading this boARD he message me on gnr2k.com witch is efish forum cause i posting the samething and he told me remove it
HELLO ... Ron does indeed read here
What really makes me wonder is: What are the REAL reasons for not updating the website regularly? I mean, gnronline.com was a joke, no question, and it were other times. But now, with gunsnroses.com, the band has the possibility to score SO MANY bonuspoints, just if they e-mailed the webmaster every week or so and let him put a small note upon this page. Nothing big, nothing about plans, dates, setlists, just stuff like"Heys out there, still [mixing/mastering/wahtever], work's going on. Had a nice party yesterday, were all very drunk. Bye, the band" or stuff like that. That would calm down so many people with so small effort, just to know that something's going on and that the band is thinkin' of their fans. It's NO work, an e-mail is written in 5 minutes, upload in less, bam! There you go. No one could be THAT lazy, you would think - no one who cares about the fans, at least. It's 2007, there IS a channel for that, and there's a need for communication, so why the heck not use it? It's not 1991 anymore.Failure to communicate
My theory:Before the inteview Ron has prepared himself so that he wouldn`t say something he shouldn`t, like that the mixing is done or what kind of jeans Axl wears in the studio. So in the begining of the interview, he says that the album is being mixed. But then 20 min into the interview, after he has been distracted by questions about guitars, amps and other smalltalk, he relaxes, lets his guard down and spontaneously utters these two sentences: "been given/even(can`t tell which one is it) the final mixes, I haven`t listened to them yet". This can IMO only be interpreted one way, that the mixing has been completed on at least 2 of the tracks and could even mean that all the mixes for CD are done. So Ron doesn`t realise what he has said and doesn`t correct himself. The forums picks up on it, someone in GNR sees it, Ron receives an angry phone call, so he contacts a fan and he tells him the usual stuff(his GNR mantra), how he is not the spokesperson for GNR and that he feels that the stuff he said is misleading when writen down.
