Australian Shows...
« Reply #14 on: June 07, 2007, 02:03:32 PM »
Didn't the promoter for these shows say that the band were going to be playing the majority of tracks from the forthcoming Chinese Democracy Album

Or am I just imagining that?

If they do, the Aussies will be in for a bloody treat! however, I bet they don't...

Yeah I remember reading that the promoter was all excited because he got them to do the full 2 1/2 hour Chinese Democracy show, whatever that means- probably a more elaborate stage set up and longer setlist, doubtful anything new, but maybe hear things like the new version of Chin Dem, the Mexican shows were very basic.

What he said is "we aren't taking the full show everywhere but for Australia and New Zealand we get everything. Videowalls. full2 1/2 hour set (Greatest Hits and new material). The whole enchilada"

I think he means we get the full show stage/setup wise. Big 2 1/2 hours set which will be gh and chidem. All because GnR probably aren't coming back for a long while :(

Hey Guys,

Just got an email from Ticketek:

Quote
Dear Guns n' Roses Fan,

If you're coming in to catch Guns n' Roses at Burswood Dome on 10 June, please note that this concert is scheduled to finish at 12.30am.

Due to the late finish of this show, public transport will not be available following this event.

We have arranged for alternative parking areas at both Belmont Park Racecourse and Burswood Park with FREE shuttle buses to the concert but we strongly advise that you car pool where possible and suggest you get in early as there is limited car parking available and delays are expected.

Taxi services will be available but again expect lengthy delays due to the volume of patrons attending.

There will be facilities available at Burswood Entertainment Complex after the show.

We'll see you at Burswood Entertainment Complex.

Regards
My Ticketek

There is a very strict curfew in place at Burswood Dome here in Perth.  Apparently, GNR must finish by 12.30am.  In fact, this will be the latest a concert/gig has ever gone to on a sunday night.  Normally, acts must finish by 11.30pm.  So it will be interesting if Axl does make it on stage at 10.30 as scheduled, or comes out at midnight and plays for only half hour.
