Help with Profile

Can a mod please help me with my profile?  I've tried several different times to hide my email address from public view, but am unable to.  Please assist.

If you click the hide my email address from public... your email address will be hidden.
You can see it though when you are looking into your profile... maybe that's why you are confused.
