So I came from work, I walk into my home, I play the Guns n Roses Invade Paris concert DVD on, this is the 8th time I watch it, Im 31, and sitting down watching the concert again, I realize that how special the old band was, the magic they had, was unique and maybe we the fans didnt realize that until they broke up.....and althougth I like the new band, and admire Axl passion for keeping rocking and keep somehow the great memories alive, I finish to watch GNR Paris, then I play GNR at the ritz,,,,fuck....that bring back a lot of my own memories at that time...So what is the best good memory from GNR that you keep all this years? When you hear a GNR song do you go back in time to a part of your life good or bad? Cause everytime I hear NR , I rembember my ex, and all what happend that time and also I remember how good was the late 80Âs and the 90Âs in terms of music.
Even though I was born in '92 (yeah now IM a baby haha) I was old enough to remember that Duff and Slash and everyone left the band, but I never heard about it.I kinda remember watching GNFNR in 2002 VMA'S, but I think I changed the channel(AH)But I kinda wish I lived later like was born in 76 or somethingCuz a LOT of good music was back thenBut, whateverI have no memories rele,But i loved seeing them in 2006 in Oakland!!!
Yeah same, I was in some woman shelter thing with my mom and these ladies were talkin ..I dont know what they said but they sounded kinda suprised and talkin about Axl, I thought it was AcDc back then, (wow Im a fuckin idiot) and Yes, I wish I was born in the 70's also
i've never figured out everyone's infatuation with the Ritz show. the UYI stuff was a lot better. RIR II is probably my favorite old GN'R show.
And besides, calling UYI better than Appetite, isn't that blasphemy?
Even though I was born in '92 (yeah now IM a baby haha)
haha i beat u! '93 bitch! oooooooo! haha lol
That ritz show was almost perfect.
The Ritz show is like the first disc of the Led Zepplin double disc DVD...it may not be their best material but it captures the "it" factor...the raw energy that made them the huge success that they are better than any other performance. (At least any released to date) Not to mention also like the Zep dvd, it's also (during the time period, if not that particular performance) when Axl's voice was at it's best, IMO.
Oooo my God! You too!?I (for example) am watching Ritz - 1988 almost every day. I love to get the new cd in my hands but i have still the feeling that nothing can compares to the old good rock (the guns n' roses of the glory days.) By the why you're a kid , I'm 40
I watch the Tokyo show real often, reminds me of childhood memories I grew up with this show, I'm 24
