Well, in recent memory all I can recall is The Dark Knight. Although, The Prestige, The Following, and Memento are fantastic. Especially Memento, I absolutely love that movie.

But I thought that Inception was fantastic. A very solid story, great acting all around (especially JGL), well paced, the action was great, etc. I mean, it is definately not a movie for everyone, but I absolutely loved it. To each their own, yes?

In my opinion The Prestige was a little above average at best. It could have done with some much sterner editing though.  And for me Memento is one of the most over-rated films of all time.  He basically lifted an idea straight from Irreversible (revenge story played out in reverse), tried to turn it into a clever trick and then spent the next 90 minutes trying to work out what to do with the situation he'd set up.  All in all I just don't think Nolan is that fantastic, has the potential but is yet to deliver on it.

Yet to see Inception, so I can't comment on it.

Saw Predators couple weeks ago. Mindless and predictable but seeing as it is what i expected i was suprised at how un-aweful i found it. Cant wait to see Inception.

So, I saw this trailer the other day. Looks interesting. Always been a fan of DeNiro, Jovovich, and Norton (although he's been on autopilot for like ten years now).

For some reason, I have a feeling that this movie will end up winning a few Acadamy Awards. Just that type of film.

Despite the fact that the movie industry has been flooded by waaaay too nay vampire movies than ever needed to be released in the last few years, I saw daybreakers the other day and it was really a new, original and pretty creative take on the inevitable vampire apocalypse we're all going to be a part of one day. Never seen this particular take on the event and the movie also features some great performances, mainly from willem defoe, who plays the part of eccentric but lovable combination of Pro and antagonist better than pretty much anybody ever. Also the re-emergence of Sam Neil in the american film industry is a victorious one. Ethan Hawke isn't one of my favorites but does a comendable job as well. The first action sequence in his apartment is intense and pretty spooky. Definitely recommend this movie. Also I'm pretty sure Ethan Hawke's Edward kicks the hell outta the one from twilight in a fight.

agree on Daybreakers, very good film. probably overshadowed by shit like Twilight etc... but a very good take on the vamp franchise.

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

ive seen it, it's a stupid movie, almost as bad as a michael moore with all the inaccuracies and backing bad policy.  i remember how bad they mischaracterized milton friedman and multiple other false premises they made.  intelligent individuals, no matter on the left, right or middle, really have to admit the movie is terrible.  they mean well, but they are like the high profile liberal versions of iconic shawn

Predators is the best movie.

Why? because we now know a Pred can be beaten by a Katana.

not that i care about this movie or wouldve probably even seen predators, but what's up with posting spoilers?
