Shutter island sounds very promising. I hope it is as good visually as the story/book is. I believe with scorcese there shouldnt be too much doubt.  More hitchcock homage's would be good as they are such brilliant films due to the nature of his style they have to adopt.
For example has anyone seen high anxiety by mel brooks, a piss take on hitchcock blockbuster containing the tension and references to so many films. Especially love the lady in the mental home who is so similar to the maid in rebecca. Its so good to watch and really enjoyable i would recommend to anyone who hasnt seen.

Awesome. I love Mel Brooks and Hitchcock, so I'll definitely check that one out. Thanks.

No worries please let me know what you think. Whats your favourite hitchcock films? Do you like any of the early films like before rebecca?

Just watched "across the hall". I think it must have been Britney Murphy's last film. I thought it was actually really good. It relied on keeping me fixed for 90 minutes by having a very clever storyline. No CGI, no nonsense, just a great plot.

The Crazies

Quite enjoyed it - it is what it is. First 20 minutes i thought, "this is gonna be no diff than any other horror film where you know what is gonna happen b4 it actually does..." and that was the case, but it did a better job than other horrors/thrillers of actually adding a sense of empathy with the characters. enjoyable and good fun.

Saw "The Crazies" on Friday. Really enjoyable film. It didn't bullshit around with stuff and just got straight into it, which i admire it for. its one of two Romero Remakes i've actually enjoyed.

Yeah, so finally saw Avatar 3D. I've just witnessed a new benchmark in cinematography. Awesome.

I dont think cinematogrphy  is the word you mean due to the fact the vital part of that it is recording movement. Which avatar simply isnt. But cinematography is mainly about the variables (different film stocks, Lighting, filters, focal length, depth of field etc) and how they make the film look but due to these aspects being absent in avatar as its simply mainly green screen apart from a few filmed studio sequences. I simply mean as filming real objects is minimal the cinematography therefore is miniscule and bad. All avatar deserves is good special effects nothing more as there is no filming skill here. Although many other skills are displayed.

I know avatar is nominated for a cinematography oscar yet it simply doesnt deserve it as what it has done isnt the definition of cinematography, it has been nominated in the correct catergories art direction, visual effects, film editing so im hoping a film with real footage wins the cinematography oscar as that would simply be extremely unfair otherwise.

PIECE O' SHIT.

Condescending, patronising at best, racist at worst, contrived, button pushing, paint by numbers, lesbian porn without the dildos and fucking.

Worse than Erin Brokovich. There, i said it.

I dont see why you would be surprised by a sandra bullock headlining film being terrible.

Just saw Hurt Locker. 8.5/10.

It would've got 10/10 if it hadn't portrayed the Brits as helpless fools who need the Americans to save the day. I suppose it's an American film so it had to be expected really.
