The CD.com film thread.
« on: April 16, 2007, 10:18:48 AM »
We might as well get all of the films into one thread. I know, I am amazing.

I saw Sunshine last night. Really good film. Special effects are amazing, storyline holds together, great musical score, some superb acting from relatively unknown actors. Chris Evans, Cillian Murphy, Rose Byrne (hot) and Cliff Curtis were all excellent.

The only criticism is that it got a bit unnecessarily CGI heavy in the last few minutes and it made the film quite difficult to watch.

Apart from that I would give 8.5/10. Definately well worth a watch and if you've got an HD/plasma screen home cinema definately a DVD buy.

Kill Bill.

Yes, the soundtrack is amazing, the story is amazing, the acters are amazing, Uma is cool, Bill is cool, I wanna learn the five point heart thingy?  :shy:

I love it, and I can't count on my fingers how many times I've watched it.

Anyway, others worth a watch, Scarface, Once Upon A Time In America, Goodfellas, Porco Rosso, Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man and Once Upon A Time In The West.

My film for this year is gonna be 28 weeks later opening May 11th. It looks like it is going to be superb.

You might have guessed from my avatar that I am a fan.

But if it is real films then the oldies are the best:

The sting
The man who knew too much
Rear Window
Capricorn 1
The French Connection
Jaws

Are all must see films.

(like fight club, well they're both mediocre i'd say  :D)

I saw a chinese documentary about poverty and misery (factories closing down)
It is 9h long, i just saw the 2nd part (i know wierd) that lasts 5h

Spoiler Alert!
O-Ren's was awesome, but I'd have to go with the Bill's. The dialogue and build to that scene was awesome.

has anybody seen "Shot In The Heart", it's an HBO production, Elias Koteas n' Giovanni Ribisi are in it. It kicks ass, too bad I can't find it anywhere now.

Yeah, that one is amazing. It's perfect. And how he just asks "Do I look ready?", and gets up and walks after the five point heart technique, outstanding.

When Kiddo screams in Japanese inside that cafè, and how everyone just freeze for a second or three, before running out for the big fight, amazing.
