if you've never seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre,get that one first---it almost seems like it's a documentary the way it was filmed--it's tame now but it was fucking scary as fuck when it came out

the movie is basically about a hotel room that is really evil like possessed by god knows what

its based on a short story by stephen king..

Yea, 1408 is a very good movie. It's probably one of the best horror type movies that have come out in a while. Overall, it's not that scary but it's well written and unpredictable unlike most horrors.
