Not a huge fan of death metal as a genre, but I am a huge fan of Death and Possessed, a little early Sepultura too.

Bands like Benediction, Morbid Angel, Deicide don't do too much for me.

I am a real big fan of Death and Sepultura.  I recently got into Benediction, I got a bunch of stuff off of napster and they are a lot better then I originally thought.  Obituary is the same way, I wasn't into them much but downloaded stuff and I like them a lot.  I have yet to try a lot from the genre.  I am a little hesitant.  But so far the bands I've tried, I liked.

Fields of the Nephilim? they were pretty cool

I'm a big fan of melodic death metal a la Dark Tranquility, In Flames, Soilwork etc, but never been into straight up death metal too much

eh, after they cut that fucking song Come Clarity, i wont listen to em. Sepultura rules, and Soulfly sucks. Morbid Angel is a great fuckin band, Abominations of Desolation and Altars of Madness were amazing.

I've also talked to Trey Azagthoth (sp?) a couple times and he's a pretty cool guy.

Ah, well I try and avoid everything they've done after Colony, but everything before that was a masterpiece, especially Clayman.  I think Come Clarity was an improvement over Reroute To Remain though
