what do the casual fans think?

iv gone around quite a bit in the past few days and have had a few of my friends listen to the latest leaks who are just regular music fans that listen to whatever is out there and at the most are casual guns fans. i asked them what there opinions were...

i had my friend melissa listen to the blues, chinese democracy, and better. she said the beginning of the blues was boring which was not good because she had no interest in it at all. she liked CD and said better was the best. I told her that it will probably be the first single and she said thats a good choice. she listens to different types of music so i value her opinion.

i had my friend joe listen to the blues. he said it was alright and that he thought the solo came out of nowhere but he wasnt payin much attention so that could have been it. hes a casual gnr fan that likes slash so he kinda holds a grudge against axl lol.

my friend chuck doesnt listen to much music but knows a few gnr songs. i had him listen to CD and he said he could def see it being a hit.

i had a few others listen also and they all liked 'better' the best. so while it may not be my favorite it looks like it could attract a new audience.

please no bashing on my friends opinions.

I've noticed without fail that everyone likes Better.  I haven't played the latest leaks to anyone really so I don't know.  But Better always gets a really positive reaction especially for people who don't know it.  I like catching people off guard with it, I'll just put it on in my car, the next question "Is that Axl Rose?"  And they're surprised that his voice sounds as good as it does, and that the music is as good.  The general reaction has almost always been along the lines of "wow, this is a lot better ( ) than I would have expected"

People who are fans of old GnR I've found have really liked TWAT too, every rock fan without fail I've played it for has commented on how great the Buckethead solo is. 

I mean my buddies who are fellow GnR fans have really dug the stuff, even casual fans have loved Better and were impressed with TWAT.  I really haven't played all the songs for that many people, just Better and TWAT to gauge reactions because I think they're the two strongest
