Slash wouldn't do it for the money. Axl probably would.

GNR never would of existed if it wasn't for the money.  Quit fooling yourself.

No band just goes out and performs for the fans.  It probably costs money to get Slash off the fucking couch.  It costs Axl twice as much.  (He got tired of getting paid Slash wages so he contacted his accountants and they figured out the highest possible amount someone would pay to remove himself from the couch cushions and they ran with it)

It is all for the money.

Are you serious?  :wasted:

Axl isn't the one doing Volkswagen commercials, releasing a cash grab EP right before an album, releasing color schemed albums and special editions and everything else.  Everything about VR is very corporate and designed to make as much money as possible.  If Axl was for the money he would've released CD a long time ago

You forgot to add that VR agreed to releasing an album that didn't fit textbook standards of a compact disc.  It was software and not an album that didn't allow it to be duplicated.

Why else would that be done?  Oh yeah, for the money.

yeah, i think thats more of a management thing, im sure the guys didnt have any objection to it, but thats just how alot of shit is being run nowadays.  I think scott seems like hes in it for the money, theres just something about him thats irks me, a hint of not being legit.  The rest of guys I see as cool and just taking what should be owed to them, they had some problems with being lenient with their contracts in the past.

If you were Slash and volkwagon said were gonna a give you a lot of money, model a guitar after you for you to come here and play for a minute, you wouldnt object now would you. Axl not doing any of this just seems crazy to me.  Why not cash in off your hard work? Thats what life is about right, making the most of your situation, axl just seems stubborn when it  comes marketing and communication.

Hell I don't hold it against Slash for doing ads or trying to make money.  I just think it was a ridiculous comment from the guy who said that Slash wouldn't do a reunion for money but Axl would.  Given their track records everything would indicate the opposite is true

Oh you bet your ass I would do the VW ads.  You know why?  Because I'm always in it for the money.  Nothing against him, but just don't say Slash doesn't do it for the money.
Peace

All this stupid talk is the reason why Slash won't even talk about Guns anymore in interviews. All Slash said was it would be nice to get the old lineups of STP and Guns together for a couple of shows. He thought it would be a fun thing to do. Does anyone here really think Axl and Scott could do shows together. No, because they got ego bigger than the fuckin galaxy. Slash was just being fun and everyone took it and blew it up into this big stupid Slash is sucking Axls' ass thing. I am asked almost daily "Do ya know Slash wants to reunite Guns" and I say no because he just wanted to do a couple of shows with the old line up and STPs old line up. Guys Axl has moved on and Slash and Duff has moved on. But it was fun to here Slash talk about the hayday of guns but that ain't gonna happen anymore.

Oh fuck yes!!!!!!! Id forgotten about, when I used to like VR, how they had about five different versions of Contraband out at the same time, with acoustic/live/techno/shite versions of shite.

There wont be a need for a special edition of Cd cause everyone just wants the fucking album!! Id still buy em though

correction.... $80   :paranoid:

which is still unbeleivable.
And just like grim ascension prophecies
My revenge carved deep will be
A grisly plot that reads
Like my filthy white ward spattered with their screams
When My Deviliverers come from fog for me...

Before I even consider the possibility of a reunion, I want to hear what these guys have been pouring blood, sweat and tears into all these years writing and recording Chinese Democracy.  I do not in any way want the contributions of the new band to be a mere footnote in GN'R history.
After the new material is out there and the band has its moment in the sun, then there is the chance of a reunion if and only if the old members really want to work with each other again and want to work on new material.  They don't need the money and God forbid they become like the Stones and just endlessly tour behind sub-par albums decades past their prime.
