Mexico-Monterrey Video Thread
« on: June 04, 2007, 08:08:30 AM »
(Welcome To The Jungle Intro) GOOD QUALITY- notice the video in the background of the opening notes to jungle, looks like some really good footage being filmed. Mexico DVD maybe? Considering the electric crowd, it would be a cool dvd.

(November Rain intro) GOOD QUALITY

(Fortus November Rain Solo) (excellent)

Well that gets the ball rolling:)

Axl sounds good:]

Anyone think the keyboards sound brilliant?

Frank sounds pretty solid too.

Amazing Vid. Listen to the crowd. Good lord.

I have a feeling this show will be a dvd.

Axl and the band look verrry focused indeed. And the whole place seems set up for a dvd.

I dunno. We'll see.

Let's hope so, but there will be no DVD if there's no New Album I think   :?:

Here's something great:

Amazing quality Welcome To The Jungle

10/10. Just like the November Rain link above.

Axl is so loud.

And Bumblefoot seems to be on fire! He has been given license to add some of his own stuff I think.

Seriously, let's hope Bumblefoot is given as much chance to play as possible in this band, he is by far the most skilled guitarist. I know people say 'but he doesn't have emotion'. He does, he plays November Rain superbly, plays an excellent little Sweet Child solo before Robin plays the main one, and he is also stamping his mark on Jungle.

I want the whole of this show!!!

Axl voice is definatly not at it's top..Maybe he's just playing it safe since it's just the beginning of the tour and that the south americans are busy being crazy instead of listening to his voice..But I'm sure he'll sound better as the tour progresses..But my lord, the band sounds awesome, November Rain is almost better than the actual studio recording.

Axl's voice is.... inconsistent. There are moments when its really, really, really strong... Sweet Child O' Mine and November Rain both have a lot of these moments. That Welcome To The Jungle performance is very up and down. Though note, it has its ups as well. I wouldn't lose confidence in Axl's voice... it seems good to me.

In fact, excuse the poor quality... but you can tell that Axl's voice is great in this video from the concert on the 3rd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmzt65I8BIg (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

I didn't like much his voice here, but the sound quality isnt thaaaaaat good so cant judge.
By own stuff do you mean his solo and the part he plays after it? those lil weird sounds are so cool, lol.
Axl probably knows that bumblefoot can add a lot to the band. He did an awesome job on chin dem, added a lot to the music and i REALLY hope he'll be playing lead guitar in this song (fretless guitar) when CD comes out. I love all his solos... did you hear his musics Shadow, Guitars SUCK or Raygun? He's an awesome song writer.
