www.tracker.gunsnroses.us - Our Guns N' Roses Bittorrent site has migrated to it's own dedicated server. The tracker is not fully functioning yet and we need to know exactly why.

What are your problems? - Please discuss here! I want to now get up the tracker ASAP!

Issues:

1. Nobody is putting up new shows! why??  We tested new torrents and they worked on 2 tests. I understand old torrents do not work. Can members please start to create new torrents?

2. Need to find out why old torrent do not work.

3. Password problem should be fixed. You should be able to edit your profiles now. If anybody has problem post. even if it works post. I want feedback.

4. Please post all problems here! So we can iron out our system.

Still can`t log in with IE6.0 or Firefox :-(
Opera works (but only because I haven't deleted my 'old' cookies, I assume).

Maybe the tracker's password file is damaged? Or the new version can't handle the old version's encryption algorithm?

the reason everything went crazy was caused by an incorrect backup of the old database..
The old database wasnt saved properly.. (tables called "users" and "torrents" that is..)

Im workin on a improved version of the tracker, but since i work about 60 hours per week my spare time is limited ..

We can do this two ways.

Alt 1.
Everyone that wants to a member need to get a new email via the reminder..
Old torrents need to be deleted and then new torrents can be uploaded (by anyone)

Alt 2.
A new improved version, hopefully less CPU usage and so on..
More stable., phpBB-based forum and so on..
Im curious about the source from torrentstrike..
Downside : You need to reregister - i cant garantee your old stats will be copied.
It can be done manually, so please  be patient

Alt 2 seems to be more fun than the old version which is getting more and more outdated...

it says that my username don't exist in the database or my password is wrong

when i try to recover my password, it says that my email doesn't exists in the database

zeppen and I are working this out. if we start fresh, then we have a non corrupt database.  if we start again, then we will adjust accounts manually.

yeah u might need to re-register and then claim your old stats back.
So when time is right we will annonce the release of tracker v3.0.
Most likely you will have to re-register, it can be a good thing to use the same username as in the old version...
Otherwise it will be difficult for us to set the "ratio stats" is they where
