Why GNR doesnt play Dont Cry?

Regarding "Estranged", "Coma" and "Civil War", bear in mind that these are long songs, and they probably think that with one long song ("November Rain") is more than enough, as this is not a UYI tour. And "November Rain" is much more popular than any of the other 3.
Maybe if all of a sudden they played "Don't cry" instead of "Patience", "Live and Let Die" or any other song, and "Estranged" instead of "November Rain", many people would wonder: "Why aren't they playing "Patience" and "November Rain"? And would open a thread about it.

Good point, everyone knows patience and november rain, although dont cry is well known too patience is still more popular. Estranged, Coma and Civil War are all epics but they arent popular only true fans know about this songs while november rain is known by pretty much everyone.
And I dont think Axl can afford to play coma as it is very hard to perform and he might lose his voice.

i know that anytime a band randomly recides to play a cover song, they dont run to the owners & request permission

can we all agree that knockin on heaven's door as well as live and let die should be cut from teh setlist and replaced?  Come on man this band's been around in one incarnation or another for 20 years and they're still playing cover songs when they could easily replace those songs with better original songs from the use your illusion records as they already pretty much play all of appetite

i dont think the reasons are for legal issues but... are some of you guys dumbasses? just because a local band plays in a bar or a school and doesn't pay doesn't mean that GN'R doesn't need to... maybe you forget but the bums singing nightrain down at Moe's bar and grill aren't exactly a 150 million dollar operation signed to a major record label.

i was just ranting that ppl try to say "the local band or my band can play w/e cover songs we want and not pay for it.." thats true but none of them are on major labels you know..

also to the dude who said for GN'R to drop KOHD and LALD aww, im pretty sure KOHD is the 5th most popular GN'R song (it is, you can't argue..its nothe 5th best, but most popular it is). LALD can go.

I like the point the guy made about time ..but couldn't they just cut one of the 3 minute solos or w/e and replace with like another three minute song... but i like your point alot.

Maybe they dont play it, because it was Quote Axl  -'the first song we wrote in Guns N' Roses' .
So maybe Axl is paying some respect to Slash, Izzy, Duff, Steven?
If you noticed, Patience is sung in his same 'singing' voice, or style, but now when they play that live, he sings it wayyyyy different. Kinda like KOHD in a way.
