Why tour with no album. . .Here's why!

As bad as I want album, if I was advising Axl I would have told him to tour - tour - tour. Make as much money as you can, while you can. Got to get payed, and got to pay the band (OLDEST RULE IN SHOW-BIZ)! You tour everywhere you can sell tickets (they have played Europe, U.S.A., Mexico, now Aus., next Japan - if they can go anywhere else - GO!

Here's why:
When album comes out those of us who f'n love Axl will buy anyway! May pick up more fans who will buy when they see this great band Live!
However, the big music promo machines (like MTV, VH1, RollingStone, etc.) may shit on it, or not report it much, no matter how great it is (lets face it, these idiots don't know the difference between great rock and shit, they think Madonna is a great artist for Christ's sake.) If they shit on it, they'll bring up old lineup at nauseum. If they do this, there is "group think" in every type of media (politics, sports, whatever: everybody says the same shit), and Chin Dem could get buried, and touring the world just got tricky.
If they are honest, review on its merits, on the other hand, I think it will be huge. If so, they can tour the world again!

Bolox - VR played half the new album when I saw them last week.  So what if people were filming it - they'll still buy the album.

well... by now you should know that I don't judge anyone's theories in general and that I just don't like crap to be posted on this section of the forum. It would be nice if I could enjoy the forum like you do instead of trying to get rid of all the crappy and useless posts every day. So, you better keep your theories for yourself or post them on the jungle or the garden section instead of the gnr news section.

well the truth is that personally I don't mind if GNR are touring with or without a new record. I enjoy their shows anyway and as far as I remember they don't play in front of the same crowd every night... so just the hardcore fans are facing problem with the greatest hits tour. When a band hasn't been on tour for 14 years I guess people want to listen to all their good songs and not to songs that they don't know yet.

and for the record... I wished it was out years ago... then it became months ago... now I don't really care. I will enjoy it when it will be released and yes I will go and see them again if I will have this opportunity in the future  - with or without the chinese democracy record.
