Hoping for an 08 release

BP, thanks for clearing this up as a rumor for us.  Like I said in the thread before it was confirmed as speculation that a November date indeed didn't seem right.  But after reading Richard's response to your inquiry "it's all speculation, no one knows" probably means the album is not done once again and Axl is up to his usual stall tactics.  By saying a lot of dates are being discussed this tour now is beginning to feel like the 06 tour, and we will once again have a year come and go and not see the release of the album.

It wont be out any time soon thats for sure.

How could one project have so many fucking details! It's beyond comprehension, the god damned Berlin Wall came down with less details than CD.  I am as loyal a fan as possible but me thinks I know bull shit when i hear it.

The band with the current line up have been together for ONE year, touring the whole world and working on the record.   I am not sure that they had ENOUGH time to record, mix and release the record... but that's of course my opinion...

That's a good point BlueHeart, but trusting what we heard about recording being done for months now, it's these unexplained DETAILS that seem to be never ending.  Not to even have a real projected release date at this point is very un-encouraging, very.

yes... we were told that the recordings have been done... but even if the mixing has been done also we are not aware about what's happening and what's the deal with the company that will release the album.

Do you really think that a few people talking on a message board is really influencing when this thing is coming out? That is just another one of all the convient excuses that we let Axl use. In reality, Axl is no different, at least when it comes to releasing an album, than any other artist. If he REALLY wanted to have it out, it woulkd be out. Plain and simple. Changing band members, law suits, promo, mixing, mastering, recored co. delaying? All BS! He is not inventing something new people. Record some songs, pick your favorites, mix, master, promo, single, release!!!!!! Very simple.

I don't buy the thing about it might be Geffen thats causing a delay.  Geffen has plunked 'millions' of dollars into this project and as soon as they have the record they'll be shouting from the rooftops "HE TURNED IN CHINESE DEMOCRACY!!!!"  But yeah how many fucking 'issues' and stuff need to be tied up?  I know that Duff and Slash sued Axl about movie rights to songs and shit like that (it was something alone those lines), but I doubt they'd be so big of wankers they'd try bitching for money from CD.  I just want a fucking release date.  This is getting really old really quick.

I have long since given up on this album I would love it to come out but it's same old same old we are now hoping for a rumored November date and we will be happy come on this is crazy.  This album should be scrapped it's reached the point of an epic disaster in music.  You can bet that it won't be out this year and then 3 or 4 months into 2008 we will be asking the same questions and getting the same updates which is we won't get any updates.
