I just want to find out what's happening. Does nobody here really go to the record shops for vinyls?

In my country there's a few shops like that.

Can somebody tell me what you are going to do, to download? And are there people who were at this shops?

in 20 years of living in my town, there has never been 1 Pure record shop.... 5 game shops at one time but not a record shop to be seen.

It seems that in 5--10 years there would no place to buy it. Even GN'R posters.

You know, I don't even want to say how much vinyls I buy. Last week I bought two Bowie's one & I want more!! Small shops are so beautiful & comfortable. Also I was going to England & to these shops as well. But I think that in that places there will be some kind of computer stores & even clothing ones.

i even know the dudes.... they gave me 2 AEROSMITH RECORDS FOR $1 EACH! AND ANOTHER FOR $3! they give me fuckin eh deals, its so cool, i never want shops like that to go away

actually when i bought my record player/speakers n' amps [which was cheap, only like $35or$40 altogether and the speakers were like new] they gave me TSI on vinyl for free

that shop must never die!

TSI is the second last album I'm going to buy. You are lucky. Here I can't find it on vinyl.

Yes, these shops must never die. But if you read the article Killington said that only people over 35 went to their shop. It mustn't but It will die.

Really? i see it almost every time i go into the shop, [its like new too, not used and comes in wrapping] also i see it when i go to a place called Ditch Records in Vic. [same thing, wrapped] thats the most common GnR vinyl I've seen, I could only find AFD once at Vinyl Encore and i bought it for $5

Erm... It's in your country. I'll have to buy vinyls in the Internet.

Unfortunately, here the only vinyl which is easily & freely sold is AFD. 5 dollars! OMG, I'll be crying all over the night.

Mine's costed 30 euros.

Internet is good i guess, but u gotta wait for it

and yea most of the records i buy are between $3-$9 but the most expensive was around $20 CDN, but it was new & wrapped The Misfits:Collection 2
im not sure of how much 30 euros is in CDN but probably a lot more than what i paid for AFD

i still buy CDs, downloading songs(even off iTunes) is bad for the industry, and if companies have less money, they'll probably take less chances with musicians and we might not get the next Rolling stones

I buy CDs, I download a LOT! but only a couple from each artist [or maybe not, lets say album....] but i only burn MIXED cds, i still buy the actual CD from the artist

The same! There are so many new bands, and only a quarter of them is worth listening. And I do want my collection to be the best.

I found this great, great lil' record shop while on holiday in Cornwall a couple o' years back...I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to get, and they had it. And you know what? It had that famous sticker on it, saying: 'This album contains language that some people may consider offensive. They can fuck off and buy something from the New Age section instead.'

If you don't know what Im talking about, get off the forum...

i go to the FYE near me, and they are way overpriced, the average CD is $19(that's bullshit, didnt CDs cost $12-13, at some point
