get a peavey, thats what i use and it works fine and does everything i need/want but that is for bass so it might be different. people need to ask more about bass

is no one fond of Laney amps? i havnt got one but they sound pretty good for metal rhythms...

Laney LC and VC combos are good. All their tube heads are great too. The GH50L will destroy any head for hard rock/metal at the £400 price point.
