TOOL fan?
« on: July 17, 2007, 01:43:15 AM »
Do we have many TOOL fans at cdDOTcom?
i'v always loved them however recently iv been spending a lot of time just listening to their albums as i surf the net.
Right now i have Aenima on, i really cant get over how amazing some of these songs are, their music is *so* damn addictive..it may take a while to get into for new comers as its so complex but thats what keeps it fresh once your in.

if we have any other fans here i'd love to speak tool :)
esp as i don't see much sign of axl bringing the fucking album out anytime soon..

while we're on the subject; the only reason i believe in the album these days is because Bumble is in the band, from interviews i get the impression hes a really good guy and i highly doubt he'd go along with all this if an album wasn't to come from it..and no, i didn't say all that just to get into Angels panties...but seriously..bumbles the shit!  :)

well... I kinda like some of their songs but I am not a big fan...
Have you seen them live? They are coming for show in Greece this year and I was thinking to see them this time.

of what I heard, Tool live are either awesome for some people, or boring for the rest. I've never seen them live, they were here in 2006 but I was out of money so I couldn't get to the gig :(

yeah i think it takes a certain kind of taste to enjoy them..or maybe just patience? it always seems to be really dumb narrow minded metal heads that dis them hehe.

I saw tool last year at donnington last year. They were a huge disappointment, one of the most boring bands i've ever seen. I do like their studio stuff though.

Once again...10,000 Days is absolute iron-cast genius.
Alright then, picture this if you will:
10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" pose, just outside of Area 51.
Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thingy when a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this.
Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping...
Holy fucking shit!

Then the X-Files being, looking like some kind of blue-green Jackie Chan with Isabella Rossellini lips and breath that reeked of vanilla Chig Champa,
did a slow-mo Matrix descent out of the butt end of the banana vessel and hovered above my bug-eyes, my gaping jaw, and my sweaty L. Ron Hubbard upper lip and all I could think was: "I hope Uncle Martin here doesn't notice that I pissed my fuckin' pants."

~Rosetta Stoned...that fuckin' intro...  :O :O
