I don't think people who have 2314 posts but cannot make even one that has more than 2 sentences in it should be allowed to go in,sry.....

I'm for it i guess.  For all the old-timers then anyone who wants entry can request entry I mean look at Dark Angel, she may be a 'n00b' by date standards but she is a great member of the forum who knows her stuff ya know?

It is a very good idea. Let's say for people who joined in 2005 or earlier. At least most of us do not spam non sense all the time like most of the eager n00bs.

I wouldn't do it solely based on post count. people will then spam and get in.

but the problem is that I cannot make it by join date to access the forum and that sucks. I want to be able to make a 'Group' based on join date to access the forum.

but Right now I can set a modest post count to get in and then have the option to accept request's to be part of that group for access.

I have to look more into it but I believe that is how it works.

i say no purly becuase, you will get the old timers in there and then the noobs out of there and it just wouldnt be the same it would be like dividin the forum in 2. and im not only sayin this cause im a noob but it just wouldnt be the same.

Old members can't blame the noobs though if they get there own section and they happen to make it absolutely stale and boring.

There could be an invite thing were like the whole noob adopt thing gets take to another level, Old members like really old obviously get in the area first and formost and then like invite or say who they want to invite like one or two people and the other old members like say if they're ok or not so like they all decide if people get in or not like a majority vote and then the noobs/not as old registration date members get a trail period. Like it could work out everyone with enough posts or after a cut off date eventually gets a trail period and if they break the rules BP sets down then they got nobody except themselves to blame when they can't take part anymore.

lol my ideas are always full of uneccessary hard work.

I think it'd be a bad idea, it would separate the old-timers from the n00bs and make the site BORING

yea this is a concern but we would never know unless we tried.

The jungle used to be really kool with an uninterrupted community feel. If we let only respected member and only members who have a displayed a great post history, this would at least let us have a section where kool members can talk in peace.

I understand the bad side of it too.... but maybe.... just maybe 'The Jungle' can reinvent itself again. and Maybe people will stride to behave more for benefits such as access to member boards.

hmmmm
