Should there be a section ONLY for Long Time Members of CD.COM?

yea this is a concern but we would never know unless we tried.

The jungle used to be really kool with an uninterrupted community feel. If we let only respected member and only members who have a displayed a great post history, this would at least let us have a section where kool members can talk in peace.

I understand the bad side of it too.... but maybe.... just maybe 'The Jungle' can reinvent itself again. and Maybe people will stride to behave more for benefits such as access to member boards.

T.I.P  Yeah man, Im probably still considered somewhat a noob, Hence my, Imature posts, But I would think it would be cool for the Better posters and longer time members to get their own lil section or somthing, So we dont piss them off with posts and threads by us noob'z

I don't know...I mean, I can't really say I've been here for ages or anything, but to be quite frank I do find some of the new people here a bit too much sometimes (no pun intended guys and girls). Although, as pointed out, it's hard to ignore the fact that making a new section for ol' timers will most probably do more bad than good for the forum as a whole. Tough call Sean ol' boy, I was never someone to give advice and I certainly ain't gonna start now.

bp,i think there should be a limit on how many people sign up in a week so the flow of  "noobs" i hate that word,would be reduced and mabye the deletion of old unused "deserters" acounts so the would be room for more stuff on the site?

It is a very good idea. Let's say for people who joined in 2005 or earlier.At least most of us do not spam non sense all the time like most of the eager n00bs.

Make it password protected, so that you need the password to get in that section of the forum. Give the password to a few people, and then make it invite only so that the people who have been here the longest can decide whos worthy of being in. That way, everyone is happy.

it wouldn't. the older members would want to keep the membership pure, so they wouldn't leak it. then the people they do invite wouldn't leak it either, because they'd be too cool

how bout what the MetClub does with a unique username/password for everyone?

how about this...

start with a certain number of members...
and then make a monthly poll in that section on who should we invite/join next.


for example...
we start with 30 members...
and then have a poll each month/week/whatever to invite 10 new members...
