Axl already announced a release date for March '07.  I'll believe it when Universal announces they have the record and they're ready to release it.

Agreed. It would be good for publicity. Artists need to do anything nowadays to increase sales. I think there's a huge multiple release date coming up with Kanye West & 50 Cent, It's getting a shitload of publicity. It's a completely different market, but it still could work in it's own way.
