Yeah, good to see Charlie Gilmour plucked from his private school education to spend time inside for desecrating a war memorial (one which commemorates the soldiers of WW2, which is the focus of "the day the tigers broke free").

I agree fully, however Pink Floyds music is inarguably good.

Middle class tosser or not they've created a legacy in music and inspired tons of people, myself included and they always put on a phenomenal shows and performances which people never forget. Case in point, 2 nights ago:

Roger Waters David Gilmour O2 Arena, Comfortably Numb - The Wall 2011 PRO SHOT

Fair enough, it's not for me, though.

Not that I have anything against my own kind: The middle classes are a hit-and-miss bunch, ranging from infuriating (pink floyd, Bob fucking Geldof) to legendary (Brian May).

I saw Roger "the jaw" Waters at Glastonbury in about 2002, and he left me disappointed. Rod Stewart came on next and that compelled me to go home.

Actually, the talking of middle-class pond life, whatever happened to all of the good festivals. What the fuck is Beyonce doing at Glastonbury?! And where have all these random small gatherings come from?! Why can't Download be near London, eh?!

Download is in a good place, it's pretty central for the UK so for people driving from different parts it's pretty equal. It only take a couple of hours from London (max) if you drive or you can catch a train that goes straight there.
If you want a festival closer to London, go to Sonisphere or High Voltage.

Jesus, stop moaning.

It is ludicrous to mix art/music to loaded headlines the way SD debated that... wtf.

This was kool to see... can tell he didn't have his complete rig etc... which made the pulling off the notes even that more special. Amazing.

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.
