I hate when people say that such and such an album is better than the other because it sold more than the other one!! 
Bullshit, some of the greatest albums would n't even get into the top 20 best selling albums of all time list. It does n't make them any less of an album in my opinion!!

   Obviously there are exceptions but for e.g. 'United Abominations' - Megadeth,  never going to sell millions but it's one of the best fucking albums for a long time!!

Its the way the songs make you feel when you listen to it.  I know for damn sure that when im driving or working and 
WTTJ or Nightrain comes on it puts me in a damn good mood.  Its not about musical genius, its about writing good fuckin' music.  I love the UYI albums, but not one song makes me wanna party or rock out like the first 7 songs on Appetite.

If you are a man you would know that AFD was better than UYI albums.

Metallica themselves made better albums, see Ride the Lightning for reference.

I know that I am going to get blasted for this, but there is no chance is hell that Metallica: Metallica is the best album by said band. Someone said before me, Ride The Lightning is way better. From the opening of Fight Fire with Fire, to the end of Call of Ktulu, the album is one solid piece of art. Then it is followed up by Master, another amazing album. Here is what I expect to get burned for. LOAD IS BETTER THAN THE BLACK ALBUM. Only my feelings, but I think there is more substance to that album.

P.S. The guy is right about the UYI albums, mainly UYI 1.

Don't worry dude, I've been saying that for years as well!!  MOP is the best Metallica album though, closely followed by RTL.   
As for AFD it's an album that's still to be surpassed 20 years on!! It's a true and timeless masterpiece!!
