You should buy his book and find out just what poor kid in LA has accomplished with his life.
Slash is one of the most respected and admired rock guitarist ever. And thats by fans and fellow musicians and artists alike. His style of playing, way of living, look, name... all of it has made him sort of a rock ICON if you haven't heard.

He's also released 2 (successful) CD's with his band and has toured the world with them.

Everyone knows what Axl is capable of doing AND being, but he's not doing it and who honestly respects the guy aside 1/2 of the old Gn'R fans and all the new blood? And you want people to really take him seriously? The guy has created a Gn'R circus in trying to release his first CD and has obviously lost control of it or just doesnt give a shit. He's bullshitted everyone for 10 years and made the Gn'R name a joke.

Yeah, thats pretty legendary right there.
