There are some things that are facts.
Geffen fired 60 people - not 60% of its personnel
Album - is done
Geffen - didn't invest 16 million
Axl - covered most of the album expenses plus all the latest recordings costs

The problem is basically one.
Axl and Geffen cannot agree on the marketing promotion of the album as Geffen wants to get money from the merchandise sales, tour tickets etc in order to sponsor the promotion of the album , something that Axl of course doesn't like.

That can only be assumed as a rumour at this point,

We havent heard it direct as of yet if this is to be the case...
I wish people wouldnt base their assumptions on a rumour that all of a sudden grows into truth..

I never post rumors without saying that they are rumors. On the other hand i constantly edit threads in order to add the word "rumor" on its subject when it comes up to assumptions and published articles.  I have heard it directly from GNR members and I believe that my source is more reliable than rolling stone, eddie trunk or weekly information. Again if that's not good enough for you I cannot help.

 Read the link I posted earlier ..
 Fact = Axl may have absorbed recent recording costs .but the majority was covered by Geffen
 That is why there was a legal dispute about the greatest hits package, Geffen wanted to recomp the costs and Axl was against it

 Fact= Geffen has lost millions  roughly 16 million  IN THE PROMOTION OF OTHER ALBUMS NOT CHINESE DEMOCRACY hence them being hesitant about any hardcore marketing  . (stated clearly in Enteratinment weekly in early January..though GnR wasn't mentioned) 

 no use to bicker about this

 we all agree it just sucks all around

If Geffen "LOST" 16 millions why don't they release the album in order to get benefit of its sales? Because the album is going to be a sale out NO MATTER WHAT  :rolleyes:

 I totally whole heartidly agree..  what the F*&k right
 when I read the article about how much they lost, my only thought was why don't they release it and at least try to recomp what they have invested but possible comp the loses from these other albums... I guess maybe Axl after all this time and hype may be afraid that it won't live up .. from what we have all heard I am sure it will
