I'd really like to try one, they do an SG (viper) version too!
I got the impression the 401's were going to be great, they look solid and the hardware is spot on...the cheaper ones don't come with the same pick ups

^ Those look pretty amazing!

I was thinking of saving up for a Gibson Dark Fire. Is that a good idea?

Is that the robot guitar thing?!! I'd say you should just go for a Jap Les Paul copy....burny, old tokais, edwards....you can always put a Gibson logo on if you need to! ;)

My Edwards Les Paul Jr is the best new guitar I've ever played. Probably because its built exactly how Gibson used to make them back in the 50s. New Gibsons are overpriced and don't play like they should for some reason. RKD has a burny les paul...he'll tell you how much they kick ass too...

Read reviews, if you like the sound of them and you have the money...go for it!

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

A: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

The black one
The Godin 5th Aveneu

It's my jazz guitar and it plays really nice,
it has a really nice warm and "round" sound wich really gives it is jazz/blues touch..

Yes p90 :)
it's a p90 from the brand: Kingping
Really good element, has a warm sound
and it can make a lot of noise
Not only for Jazz it gives it a good sound,
but also for rock  :D
for instance, I use the guitar as rythem guitar when I cover with a band the song:
Bad Obsession - Guns N' Roses
or any song with a blues/rock feeling
It really gives it that warm blues feeling to a rock song.

So yeah, you could use the guitar for almost evrything,
but you can't get that "flat sound" out of it, which you get with a Fender stratocaster.
