The guitars glitch u talk are just only automation with the level  i could just edit it manually too to get the same effect.
the synths used in this track are syntAX ,z3ta+ and prosounds PS-1 all VSTi.
Its a combination of all to get that soundscape sound about the scracth i dont know since there is none what part ure hearing scracth's?

i like Linkin Park myself so...

The scratchy sounds are most noticable at the very end when the song is coming to an end. The little buzzy type effects. Either way i really like the fusion between hard rocking guitars and lots of nu metal/industrial, hip hop kinda electronical FX. sounds badass!

Linkin Park is cool not somethin i listened everyday... i really dig jay gordon (orgy) remix of points of authority i listen a lot this one about that scratch is just a cut and paste of a small piece of the guitar repeat few times in 1/16 or 1/32 not really sure but u get the idea.
Im totally into heavy guitars with electronics elements too.
