 I have to admit I have fallen victum to the marketing campain. I was usually a coke or mt dew guy myself but since the announcement I have drank one dr pepper a day or every other day just because of the support, and it tastes fuckin good. I can't help but see and think about GNR now when I am in the gas station grabbing something to drink.. That is exactly what they wanted with the offer.. there is no way in hell they are going to lost money .. you figure the people that will actually collect on the free can are the same people that will buy the album and most of those people will drink at a minimum 20 DPs before the album drops

Even bumble is now starting to mention this, see the Bumblefoot album thread. He mentioned at Dizzys concert that they guy responsible for the Dr.Pepper announcement was at the show. And when talking about going to the show, ron said he would bring the Dr.Pepper. lol

The person "credited" for the information there was kaneda aka Chris Koolirus, from NYC.

it still sounds like very good commercial though... imagine people giving free sodas all over US just because CD is released.... even people they don't know anything about the album we'll be curious to see what all this is about...
