Nine Inch Nails Are 'Stronger' With New Line-up

Rockers NINE INCH NAILS are promising fans the "strongest" touring line-up they've ever had - after reshuffling the musicians in their band.

Bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who has worked with both Garbage and Beck, will replace British musician Rich Fownes on the upcoming North American tour.

Frontman Trent Reznor will also be backed by guitarist Robin Finck, fresh from a recently ended stint replacing Slash in Guns N' Roses, as well as drummer Josh Freese and keyboardist Alessandro Cortini.

On the band's official website, Reznor says, "We've added, we've subtracted and we've wound up with unquestionably the strongest lineup I've EVER had.

"We've been working on something really special for these shows and so far I couldn't be happier with the results."

The trek is set to begin on 25 July (08) at the Pemberton Festival in British Columbia, Canada.

Where the hell does this leave Guns N Roses? Does Axl get another Guitarist? We have been speculating for awhile and now this confirms our fears.

According to world entertainment news, Robin has left GN'R for good stating "Frontman Trent Reznor will also be backed by guitarist Robin Finck, fresh from a recently ended stint replacing Slash in Guns N' Roses".

Not that we didn't expect it but I hope this doesn't put CD back another year or two.

6.05.2008:  NEW BAND - NEW TOUR SAMPLER
I am proud to announce the final personnel lineup of nine inch nails for the foreseeable future. We've added, we've subtracted and we've wound up with unquestionably the strongest lineup I've EVER had. Joining me onstage will be Robin Finck, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Freese and Justin Meldal-Johnsen.
We've been working on something really special for these shows and so far I couldn't be happier with the results. We'll be revealing some live performances shortly here on nin.com - in the meantime, we've posted some photos from rehearsals up on Flickr here.
