This is not HIS band it is Axl's band. Every one else is an employee. Richard plays guitar on a GNR/Axl album not in his band's album. He is neither in GNR or not. GNR is Axl and Axl is GNR. The new managment manage both Axl and GNR...no one else associated with the album. GNR is a corporation and Axl is the CEO everyone else has a salary based on contracts. The reason they can't comment is because the CEO has not devulged his plans to his employees....Does your boss tell you everything that is going on?...for most people probably not. Remeber the only legal owner is Axl...no one else! Richard or Robin or Bumble and who ever else that has been associated with CD have only collaborated with Axl...they own none of it.

Exactly. Why not just tell the truth for once? Tell people what is being planned. Tell people what songs are on the album, what the album cover is, when they are going to release it, when they are going to tour.

I can't see why that is so hard to do. It would give Del James a reason for existing if nothing else. Jarmo banned me from HTGTH for suggesting this kind of stuff, but it's true, why can't Axl just let people know what is going on. There is no possible reason why he can't. He makes it feel like he has something world shattering, like he found a wormhole to another dimension whilst Pitman was experimenting with a mix of Silkworms.

If nothing is planned and there is no album, which is very likely IMO, why not just admit that? All us crazy internet fans would stop emailing them and bugging them whenever they go out in public too.

GNR is not a band its a collaboration of musicians hired by Axl. Stop confusing the name GNR with it meaning a band. Just cause you flip burgers at McDs. doesn't mean you are aware of the ins and outs of the corporate plans. Richard and everyone else ever associated with this project 'CD' are employees just flipping burgers.

I agree, but it's kind of a catch 22 for Axl.  He can't reasonably take a multi-million dollar "band" like GNR and just let everyone "join" (vs. being contracted), because unlike friends that form bands from nothing there are legalities with the GNR name itself let alone the music being released under the name.  If he wouldn't have contracted Buckethead then BH would probably be suing to claim the band name and the music he created in the band since he would have officially been a GNR band-member/owner. 

Regarding the silence from the GNR contributors, I think it's more driven to keep attention on the band.  If you knew all the answers you probably wouldn't pay attention to them nearly as much as the "mystery".

 let alone talk about who picked what songs to play live.  Fortus is a great guy this  sad.  I was very optimistic about things this year  but now I kinda feel like

 just another guy waiting in line for the big mac that will never come or it will be cold and soggy when it finally gets here

Ofcourse it all comes down to Axl in the end, but you don't know what agreements they've made together. They are all grown up men who can make their own decisions. It's not like they're some small children, which we have to feel sorry for, because they're being beaten by their daddy.
