Well... everyone in the band has said time and time again that its not about the money. However, I'm sure they would get a HUGE payload, sell out all over the world, and sell TONS of of merchandise which honestly they really DESERVE to do. Its why we would buy the CD's.

And I think that if Axl was cool and they sat down Slash wouldn't mind playing those songs at all. He played songs for MJ and other peeps just for the sake of ripping it on a Gibson Les Paul infont of large crowds. Which is what Slash was always about.

I'd actually LOVE to hear what Slash's touch does to the rather bland (though sharp) Chinese Democracy solo. And fucking forgetabout what his sound would do to T.W.A.T.

Undeniably all aces for Guns N' Roses.

The only thing bigger than a Guns'n'Roses reunion would be a Beatles reunion and you would need two more bullets for that,  .  The general public has been wanting the originals for a long long time. The only bad thing about all the other typical reunion tours is that they never put out new material. They just go on tour and then thats it, if GnR were to do it right they could easily recapture what they had.

you have some point. about money for current members - of course they are paid, they need to live off something, until uncle Axl decides to release the record(s). I can see no problem here, every band member is paid somehow.

about Slash, I really don't think he would fit in the current GNR style. his playing is just completely different. and I don't think he could play TWAT at all, it's Bucket's work and people would bash him for shredding ( )

on the other hand, I'm sure we will see reunion, for a show or maybe a tour. I really have nothing against this, I would be glad to see the old lineup back together.

but there is a small problem - Axl spent about 14 years of work on Chinese Democracy, and there's no way he would scrap all and start something new with Slash & co. that just doesn't make sense. even more, Axl is just not interested in classic rock nowadays, so I can't see any classic stuff happening, it's just gone.

the best for everyone could be this situation - two bands with Axl as singer, two different styles, maybe both bands could tour (Chinese Democracy lineup and classic lineup), both with their own songs, maybe just the ChiDem lineup could play some songs they mastered like Nightrain. I really can't see any reason why we should fight about shit like band name etc, when we could have two awesome bands!

I'd give Slash Robin's solo in TWAT, and let Fortus handle the Buckethead material for that song. Remember, GN'R were this close to touring in 2006 with just Finck and Fortus, so I suspect he'd been earmarked for those solo parts back then (note how he plays the Bucket solo on Madagascar now...).
