Conferrin' with the flowers

Kerrang comes out every week and this issue is about 3 weeks old. All the interview is is a shortened down version of his book.
Scott will be joining GnR on air guitar. Fuelled primarily by heroin and aids.

When Gn'R were big.. and Axl was on the cover of all those magazines.. and doing things like Promos to give out his apartment on MTV.. was he whoring himself out or was he just being Axl in a position where the fans and media have placed him?

I'm tired of hearing that Slash sells out. The dude is famous as fuck and everyone wants to work with him in one way or another. I think he's earned that type of ->pull<-. Now if he cut his hair, put on a suit and started talking about rock needing the make a change for the cleaner then I'd join you in your sell out chants.. but as for right now you people who say he's sold out are full of shit. He's still living the true rockstar life.

I do agree with you. But really, why are you always saying 'bad' things about Axl? Not in this case particulary, but I guess you know what I mean.

Btw, Slash looks HOT, like always..

Don't get me wrong. Axl's is still in my eyes the greatest rock n roll front man ever. Its just that people love to bash the shit out of Slash while seemingly turning a blind eye to their beloved Axl. Its almost like Axl can walk into their house and shoot their mother and they would only be interested in having a sit down with the dude and talk about when Chinese Democracy is coming out.

As a singer and frontman Axl is untouchable. But as a person the dude seriously has some issues.. which is what makes him Axl.

Yeah, I know. But it's like, you're doing the same thing. I know people like to say this and that about Slash, but when you're trying to defend him, you're like 'attacking' Axl, and thats the same thing they're doing, but they're defending Axl instead

Haha.. yeah. And honestly I don't like to bash the dude at all aside the fact that he's taken asians to release the fucking album. A dude who now represents a band that was always in full control of what they were doing.

However, if you take a tally of how many people bash Slash to how many people bash Axl you'd see that I'm up against many lol.. and thats alright. Everyone should have their own opinion you know? Its just that people bash Slash for stupid shit like him being on drugs or him accepting what fame he's earned in life.

Lol, yeah. That's why I said that I agree with you. And personally, I don't think you have to choose one side. You can like both.

Oh for sure. I have some DVD's of the 'new' band and DVD's of VR performing but personally I prefer the DVD's of the good old days when Axl would be running one way on the stage screaming like a mad man while Slash would be running the other way making his guitar scream like a bitch.. then of course they would meet in the middle of the stage and show you what set Gn'R apart from all those other bands they were up against.

But thats just me..

It just sucks sometimes that everyone loves Slash no matter what and most people hate Axl no matter what. Slash makes it look so easy and then the Axl fans have to hear from other people so much shit. I almost feel the need to call out everyone of Slash's flaws in order to prove the reasoning of my loyalty as an Axl fan. It sucks that people do that. Because of this board I have been more accepting of Slash and forgiving of him leaving the band. It just sucks that it all had to end. When Slash keeps talking about Axl, to me it feels like he is mocking him, although I don't think he is. But he keeps drawing attention to the fact that we have been waiting forever and he needs to just let it be. It's not his project. Axl never talks about Libertad. It just makes the situation harder. /rant

i understand your point of view, but honeslty i think what Slash wants is the feud to be over, and since the begining the media and the fans took it upon themselves to make this Feud grow, you can see it everywhere, I dont think neither Slash nor Axl have all the fault they both were also victims of the circumstances, that they themsleveds and the world created. Slash has even mentioned that he still has a soft spot for Axl in his heart, heck they got form being no ones to being the biggest band in the world togehter, the kinds of bonds made by what they got trough are the ones that they will let one day see Axl and Slash together maybe not playing but just laughing about the whole ordeal, Why that upsets some people i dont think ill ever understand maybe its because i just believe in humans and their power to forgive and grow.

What happened between Axl and Slash isn't anyone's business so nobody should decide if they should be friends or not. It's true how the media influences our decisions about things that shouldn't even concern us. I agree with your post completely. I can't even imagine the things that Axl and Slash have been through together. They lived on the streets together. What ever happened between them must have been pretty bad to bring them apart. I too hope that one day they will find it in their hearts to forgive each other. Life is too short. Especially considering all of the drugs they have done.   :wasted:
